POSTS FROM THE PHYS ED DEPARTMENT AT SHERWOOD
Our physical education teacher have started posting some really simple activities that require very little (or no) equipment on the PE blog. The idea behind these activities is that they are a simple way to get moving by yourself or with the whole family and once the post has been read, no screen needed!

FOCUS ON SELF-REGULATION:
Sherwood has begun the research based program Focus on Self-Regulation designed by occupational therapists at the Edmonton Catholic School Board, as a way to help our students learn to regulate their emotions, behaviors and thoughts so that they can be ready to learn. We start most days with a focus sequence.
The link below further describes the focus sequence and shows you the cards with which the children are familiar. My students will know the names in French but can easily associate them with the individual cards.
