FREE ON-LINE READING RESOURCES:
Many of these do not provide support/materials in French but may still be of interest to you. There is one with French audio books called "TUMBLEBOOKS" - it's excellent for our immersion kids. It would be easiest just to link the kids to that French site but the link seems to become unstable when I do (same issue on our school web site with the Tumblebooks like - you do NOT need a password!)
Please show your child how to click the link, scroll down to Tumblebooks, select "Français", then do the search. Just click on the desired audio book.

SUPPORTING YOUR CHILD IN READING
This video was created by staff and students at Sherwood School and demonstrates various ways to help your children when ready. The pictures below show different prompts you can use and the three different types of comprehension questions. I ask questions like this to the kids when we do a read aloud. This gives you the same types of questions in English, when you are reading to your child in an English book. If you find the text too small, just copy the picture in word and you can quickly enlarge it.
